"How is it like to be blind?" I always wondered. What a bad miserable feeling it is to be in the world and not see it. You walk in a crowded hall, or an empty room, and it makes no difference because you don't see any of them. It certainly differs for those who are present there, because seeing that you can't see they might feel pity for you but nothing more. You don't know if every single soul in the world is staring or even pointing at you or that no one cares a bit about your presence. You're blank about your surrounding. The only thing you can be sure is your own feelings but not even the appearance. It happens a lot for a person with sound eyes to choose a set of clothing and find out that they were actually very bad to others; but if you can't see the reaction of others in their face when seeing you, how can you say it was good?
This feeling could be worse when you're born blind, no slight understanding of the outside world! You can imagine how blue is the sky after a rain, you can imagine what "blue" means, you can can imagine what is and endless sky like, ... but you can never be sure!
I think I can truly understand how such a blind born person might feel like, since I have never laid eyes on the world. This might be shocking to my friends who know thanks God I've got a pair of eyes as sharp as a hawk,... but it's true.
You are my World, you are what Everything means to me! I know that Everything is there, I know that whole World is watching me, staring at every single movement of my eyes; but I can't see her.
My blindness is like a person who has been raised up in a dungeon since birth and refers to moon as sun. He has no faults, he hasn't seen the sun in his entire life. I look around me, and I know I'm looking for my sun. I might even see it many times a day, but I pass it without notice since I've never seen my sun.
